On 10 March, 2010 the presentation of the collection of articles "Georgia between Persia and Europe" published in February, 2009 in France by the famous publishing house "L’ HARMATTAN", was held in Tbilisi, in the Institute of Oriental studies of G. Tsereteli. The collection puts together the works of the Georgian and foreigner orientalists and was published with the editing of professor Irina Nachkebia and professor Florence Hellot-Bellier. The work was bought and brought to Georgia by "Kala Foundation". In the articles presented in the collection is studied the relationship between Persia and Georgia since ancient times till the end of the XIX century, is underlined the big importance of Georgia as crossroads between Europe and Persia. This collection is the first attempt of gathering and publishing of works published on this issue in the foreign language that has a big importance for the international community of researchers. Besides the Georgian and French editors, the community of Georgian scientists and the representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Georgia also attended the presentation held in Tbilisi.
